How Dr. Akhil Reddy Became A Successful Dentist

Dr. Akhil Reddy is a dentist who was born in Lubbock, Texas. He grew up with strong interests in engineering, medicine, and working with his hands which seemed like a great combination in order to be a dentist one day. He attended the University of the Pacific Accelerated Dental Program in California and earned his college degree in biological sciences. He then went to San Francisco and attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He graduated from this university with his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Upon graduation, he moved back to Texas and opened his own dental practice.
Dr. Akhil Reddy specializes in both family dentistry as well as oral cosmetics. He now owns and operates a number of dental office locations. His practices are open to everyone of every different type of socioeconomic levels. In order to efficiently run all of these practices he is contracted with MB2 Dental Solutions. MB2 Dental Solutions is a firm that provides outsourcing services for dental practices such as accounting, human resources, IT, and everything else a dentist needs to run the company.
As an experienced dentist, Dr. Akhil Reddy provides coaching and mentoring to a number of dentists who have just graduated. These dentists work for him in his practices which are located in suburban and rural areas around the state of Texas. He has said that these areas were underserved by dental practices and he wants to provide them with a nearby, affordable practice that is focused on quality.
As he readily admits, he has made a few mistakes over the years. The one he says he regrets the most is having to sell one of his practices which wasn’t performing very well at all. He learned from this experience that he needed to create a better risk strategy and have in place a plan in case that happens again.
Outside of his career in dentistry, Dr. Akhil Reddy is engaged and enjoys spending time with the rest of his family as well as his dog, a Border Collie. He is also a fan of wine and enjoys learning about it whenever he can. He is also a big fan of the new restaurant trend of farm to table. Nowadays it is easy to find a place that features fresh produce from nearby farms rather than processed food trucked in from across the world.
